dec 1990, CompuServe
using Compuserve (100015,75) as a source of data for my computer and emailing with business friends around the world.

apr 1995, webpages OLG Welsikon
choosing dataway as our ISP (ftp access only) and creating the web pages of OLG Welsikon my former orienteering club.
nov 1996, personal webpage
first website on the Internet but no own domain name (www.provider.ch/~uh/)
apr 2015, finally responsive
sure it is overdue by many months but I would also strip down the content of my english website as well. But since things have changed dramatically I decided to have the website responsive first and then subsequently trim down the content. There are about five possible new themes I was evaluating. Ruby from Elixir is the theme that I am using now.
dec 2015, RapidWeaver 6
RW 6 has been out since mid year but I didn’t find the time yet to update all my websites to the new version. During xmas holiday I catch up with it. There are a few updates necessary and
Flexible List page won’t work anymore.
aug 2018, website update and new RW theme
RW 7 is around for more than one year now and when supporting friends of me to create modern website I’ve checked my favourite theme designers Elixir Graphics and Multithemes too. I then decide to give my website not only a new look but keep its content updated as well.
jan 2019, website moved to A2 Hosting
my website has a new host. My Superhosting Extreme account on site5 is history. I was a bit disappointed about their changes throughout the years and then I saw the recommendations of Realmacsoftware.

That’s why I give A2-Hosting a try now.
feb 2019, big update
this year is starting with IT in all aspects. First I moved all my websites to new hosts, second I've updated our wireless LAN at home and finally my computer gets new software (RapidWeaver update) and the latest operating system (Mojave).
jan 2022, clean up RW and BigSur
after suspending my retirement during december (and working as a web designer) it was time to update my MacBook Pro. To my surprise I found that it is so old that it only can be updated to BigSur.
And while editing in RW again I get great support from Will Woodgate (S4S). For example he quickly added a handy feature to his TableBuilder stack that I am using here.
aug 2022, new MacBook Air (M2)
my MB Pro is a Mid2014 model that worked very well throughout all the years. When Apple introduced new MacBook Pro models late in 2021 with the M1 Pro and M2 Max chips they added the MagSafe connection and even an SD card reader - long missed - back again. In January, when evaluating such a new configuration I was told that these MB Pro models are far to powerful to what I was needing. And it would be better to wait for the upcoming new MacBook Air. But at the Apple Event in March there was no new MB Air announced. I had to wait until June for the WWDC when the M2 Air finally sees the light. During the 'Back to school' promotion it was my time to buy such a new computer.
oct 2022, webworker (MC-W, MJ3, history facts, wal)
during the last weeks of October I was quite busy working for various websites. It starts with an improved website of our modeling club MC-W. Next I had to update the shop of history facts and then fight against an nerv racking spam issue on the Mega-Joule website. At the end it was time to bring my "quick and dirty"-website wal 'a jour'.
While working with RW I found that even in this sphere things are changing: Realmacsoftware is planning to add drag&drop functionality to its RapidWeaver application. On the other side is YourHead considering to build a full CMS around its Stacks product. In the future maybe we will see RW Classic and RW Elements on one side and Stacks and Stacks Pro on the other side. We will see.
may2023, teacher again
another course has been set up at the GBW for May. Unfortunately, the course didn't quite go as I had planned. Many, maybe too many, participants and problems with the IT infrastructure kept me on my toes. I'm looking forward to the feedback.
june2023,GA4
unbelievable,, google forces me, like many others too, to study and change the statistics on the various website their analytics are setup. I didn't take much notice when they announced the all-new google analytics in early 2022, but now they will be retiring their Universal Access tool at end of June 2023. So it 's time for act.

Adding a piece of code on every webpage isn't a big thing. but I had to go through all the descriptions on the google analytics service which I remembered being a nightmare. And it turned out to be the same this time. Now it looks like GA4 is in place on all my various website and collecting data again.
